Feet, Flip Flops, Boys, and Glass
I like this. I just found it at lifeevents.org:
Physically, the benefits of walking and laying on glass include relaxation and stimulation. This stimulations effects blood circulation and allows for the creation and repair of capillaries. By helping with blood circulation, broken glass can heal heart related ailments, kidney problems, nervous system ailments and paralysis.
Walking on the glass is like having reflexology performed on your feet and directly effect organs within the body. You cannot massage the internal organs of your body, put you can activate their associated energy lines (meridians) by manipulating the external body. The deeper the glass penetrates, the more stimulation you receive.
Hmmm, that sounds very right to me. I am one of those people that demands a lot of stimulation. I am a creative person. And I am a smart person. And I am a very horny person. The stimulation to my feet is feeding my whole body, mind, and soul. How beautiful. I think that makes a lot of sense. Sometimes I can't control myself and I need to stick my toes in my mouth. I think understand that better now. It seems excessive but maybe I just need that. And I wear flip flops all the time, as much as I can. And I am attracted to the boys that want to worship my feet. Yes, it does make sense. I'm just built this way and I need to enjoy it and celebrate it. I'm not some weirdo, at least not in a negative way. And I know so many of you out there are like me! I know it. Is it all the craziness out there that intensifies these feelings? Maybe so. That's something I'd like to hear more about from all of you.
And should I talk to the boy I'm sleeping with about all this? As I am demonstrating by this blog, I like to do it and I like to talk about it too. This is the thing, I don't need his comments, especially when it can mess things up. I just need what I have right now. I've messed it up before and I'm glad I did. This time around, I just want to keep what I have and play. Time enough to switch things around.

The Flip Flop Girl Manifesto
This charming young lad says he returns to my blog for the thrill of checking up on a hot babe with beautiful feet. I am totally flattered! But I do want to dazzle him and all of my readers with beautiful writing too. I am approaching my theme of flip flops from all aspects: from pop culture to sex and everything in between. I'm discussing my love life. I'm trying to understand our collective mind and how we cultivate and embrace our desires and fantasies. Along the way, I also talk about whatever else is on my mind. In this way, I hope to give you a pretty clear picture of what is going on today through the eyes of a girl influenced by western capitalism and hedonism. I wish to understand through your eyes and through your voice so I continue to welcome your feedback.
I think this will be a never-ending source of information and entertainment. How did I get where I am today? A young woman so sexually-charged, so narcissistic? I keep asking this while also knowing I am far from alone. I look at the boy sleeping in my bed. The salt from my toes still on his hot mouth. How did I become such a hot little nympho? I like it. I love it. It turns be on! But I want to exercise some self-control. Don't I? Maybe I already do. I just want to understand or articulate this better. It's taking me some time and I'm in no rush. I want to savor all of it. Come to think of it, I can still taste the salt off his toes. It's rare, I think, for a girl to like to recieve and give toe-sucking. You see it on video. But I'm talking about in reality. I feel like I'm entering new territory. I feel like I want to talk to more people about it. Why can't I just talk to this boy about it? He's suppose to be my boyfriend, I guess. He's been sleeping in my bed. Maybe I just see him as my lover at the moment. He might not be someone you really talk to on a deep level. Or, if I feel like there's nothing to lose, I'll start actually having a conversation with him. Don't want to mess up the sex though. Deep down I already have all the answers. I'm just in the process of organizing my thoughts. I'm a very curious girl.

Cold and Wet Toes in Seattle
Well, the weather has remained very wet lately. Looks like we're going for a record. And, now that's it's cold enough, we have a bit of snow. Not very much, mind you, but enough to wreak havoc on very pleasant and low-key Seattle. We are never ready for snow in this town. We are total foot freaks and run around in flip flops, with our lattes, very well but we can't seem to handle snow very well. We do ski very well but we don't want the snow to interfere with the rest of our lives. And, on top of all that, to add to the mayhem, some of us still wear flip flops. I swear to you that I've spotted a few girls and boys still wearing flip flops in this icy weather. It's too much even for The Flip Flop Girl to handle. The few people I've spotted weren't just going over to check the mail. They were out and about shopping or some such thing. Push comes to shove, I would join them but even I have some common sense!

So, yeah, I'm having a bit of fun with the new boy in my life. When I go clubbing, I tend to go out during the week to avoid the onslaught of humanity. Sure, I go out on weekends too but I think I find more interesting guys during the week. You just don't know who is going out on a school night, right? Students? Well, funny I should say that because this boy is a student. He goes to UW and he's studying law. He has a bit of an arrogant bad boy thing going on. Anyway, he is one of those all too typical agressive types but sometimes a girl wants it in a bad way. For him, footplay was foreplay and he wasted no time in getting my foot into his mouth. I'm telling you girls, it's become like a sport for these guys. For my freaky self, it was an instant wet turn on. I'm just built that way. Maybe he didn't care if his abrupt toe-sucking went well or not with me: it was worth a try. It did seem that way. Like it was all for the sake of the thrill. But isn't casual sex all about creating some delicious chaos in your life? Yeah, yeah, I'm just saying, and experiencing firsthand, that footplay is part of the new chaos. I thought that making out was first base. Now, it's taken an extreme turn to sucking on my toes. I'm not complaining exactly. But maybe a more demure girl would have felt sort of violated, you know? And when will I find the boy who can do more than try to shock me. Where does he go from here? It wasn't a one-nighter. We are seeing each other for now. But who knows what will happen next. OK, those are my first really balanced thoughts, maybe my last thoughts, on the new boy, for now. I will try to be a good girl and write more.
I found the above photo at a wonderful blog from Paris.
I love the big toe, don't you?

I've been a bad girl.
Oh, not like that. What were you thinking? I was just thinking that I'd been a bad girl for not posting anything in the last few days. Well, I'll post whenever I like and I have a feeling I'll be picking up the pace soon. I think that will happen because I actually have been a bad girl and it's in the way you're thinking right now. Yes, I got another boy in the sack. I think I need a little more time to process this one. Just wanted to let you all know that The Flip Flop Girl is doing alright right now. And he loves to play with my feet. Well, no surprise there, right? How freaky is he? Actually, he seems to have a healthy freak factor. More later!

Payback Politics
Oh, I can't resist posting one last thing on this subject for now. Brian Ross of ABC News presents a wonderful feature that lays out much of what the Democrats hope to accomplish soon. Calling it "Payback" is definitely provocative, it sells, but the actual story does have substance. Democrats are in a postion to do a lot of good for the United States.
Politics can sometimes be a lot more than just Politics.
I must say I am still surprised that Rummy resigned because Bush and the Bushies were adamant that he would stay on to the bitter end! I say this is very significant and that quite a lot more lies ahead. The Democrats have been known for a lot of things and, at their best, they are the party of the people. Today and, in the years ahead, they can become known as the party that led us back on track as a nation.
No More Rummy! Hooray!
Well, well, well! The results from the election are already in play as Rummy the Killer is out of here! Did he fear that the new Democrat majority would lead to investigations about his performance? Yes. Will we really change course in Iraq? Yes.
Sorry, Rummy
Indeed, this election is a significant change for the Democrats. An advantage of 32 House seats!
And the Democrats Gain Ground
While most of my friends are chatting about Britney Spears finally divorcing Freddy the Free-loader, I do want to comment on the mid-term elections. Compared to Britney Spears, the mid-term elections are quite dull. And that is my point for today. To compensate, the media is always attempting to turn everything into a candy-colored circus. So, the media does it's best to turn politics sexy by turning it into a horse race, or worse, a personality contest. That's why you heard so much about the so-called "Kerry blunder." If less attention had been paid to that fluff, perhaps the Democrats would have made a more significant win. As the majority party in the House, they will take the lead in important house committees. They didn't take the Senate. So, we don't have impeachment proceedings to look forward to!
When in doubt, look to the Brits for some very cool-headed coverage of American politics.

"Closing Strong" and "Stay the Course" What a Bunch of Baloney!
Hello World, this is The Flip Flop Girl, friend of libertine and liberal alike.
So, we meet again. It is Election Day in the United States. What does that mean to you? Well, it could mean a little less hostility coming from the current US government if we get enough Democrats to tilt all this funny business towards a more balanced playing field. Politics is definitely a very funny business. But there is such a thing as serving your country. Too bad more people don't take that seriously. Lucky for all of us, some do. So, what did Dubya sputter today regarding the election? "We are closing strong!" More mangled use of the language. All we can do is smile and nod and hope this election will neuter him. Oh, and then there is that other more menacing and troublesome catch phrase: "Stay the Course." No mangling of the language here. That does mean something. But did you hear that the official line from the White House is that they won't use that slogan anymore because it is seems to have become tainted. People have heard it too often and now it makes them want to throw up. But, in actuality, there is no change in the war policy so the White House will indeed "stay the course" without calling it that. You've heard the phrase, "Throw the Bums Out," haven't you?

George Bush is no friend of America or The Troops
Hello, this is The Flip Flop Girl, friend of libertines and liberals alike. Hmm, there are a few things I should say about the horribly misused term, "liberal." It wasn't a bad thing until the so-called "conservatives" decided to turn into such a negative label. But it's not. I feel like being political again on my blog. There is so much to say. I believe that when the dust finally settles, history will not be kind to Geroge W. Bush. Many people can see it now. I believe that even today's hard-core conservatives will see it too. Dubya is no friend of anyone, except for himself. The Bush Administration wants to make money and wants to shove its policies down the Amercian, and the World's throat. At gun point.
Where to begin? Well, briefly, that whole nonsense about how Kerry was suppose to be demonstrating is disdain for the troops because of that stupid joke he couldn't tell right. I admit, it was a very stupid joke with the punch line that Dubya is stupid. But it turned out he left the part out about Dubya and it sounded like he was insulting the troops fighting in Iraq. I have no problem with people in the military. Some people go into the military because of strong patriotic feelings. A lot of people go into the military because it's a way to pay for college. Nothing wrong with that. But it's a crying shame so many lives have been lost because of a bunch of houlier-than-thou, money-grubbing, "conversatives" decided they were going to invade Iraq no matter what.
I love my country. I know what it stands for. And it's a dark time right now. Not just because of terrorists. Because of the way the Bushies took advantage of 9/11 in order to invade Iraq. Because of the Bushies paranoia whereby our freedoms are being taken away from us left and right. Do you guys know about the latest law? The Military Commissions Act of 2006. It has pretty much nullified habeas corpus (this is where a judge determines if you should be in prison or not), and allows for an "anything-goes" method of interrogation of terror suspects and legitimatizes military trials of terror suspects. What if you suddenly became a "terror suspect"? This is scary stuff. I am no friend of a terrorist. But I want my rights. Don't you?
So, it's all twisted. Bush is very low in the polls. You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. I'm not saying Democrats, by their very nature, are the total answer. No. I'm for balance. If the Democrats do end up winning a majority in the House and Senate, this is a step in the right direction. For one thing, the Bush administration will have to ease up on its abuses of power. And, maybe, the Bushies will even be held accountable. Whatever happens, it is at least a step in the right direction. Does anyone really believe any of the Bush propaganda at this point? Well, unfortunately we'll always have some who do but more and more people are starting to wise up.
