I happen to have really loved The Simpons Movie and highly recommend it. Matt Groening, the creator and ongoing creative force behind The Simpsons has made the most of bringing his characters to the big screen. He, and a team of writers, have come up with some brilliant writing that allows us prudish and confused Americans to loosen up and laugh about things we might not normally laugh about such as, well, sex in general, including gay sex. Mixing the right amount of biting satire with gentle good humor, I don't think anyone can say they didn't enjoy the movie or find something they can laugh about.
