This Post is really more about Bullitt but I also love the scary chase scene in Duel

The talent behind mapping out the chase scene in Bullitt (see below) can try to map out Duel. But the descrpition I get here is probably all we need: "the nether world of two-lane highways and truck stops that lie outside of LA."

Don't forget this one.

I never even knew there was an original Gone in 60 Seconds until I came across this. (Pt. 4 of 4)

"I shudda read my horiscope this morning."

I heard that the remake sort of sucked. But now I'm curious. The original one looks way cool.

Duel is more about suspense than a car chase - the car and truck just happen to be the vehicle (no pun intended) used to create the suspense. Bullitt is one of the best car chases of all time. Another one that is way up there, and possibly second only to Bullitt is the chase scene in The French Connection. Its a classic too.

baresoles: for sure, The French Connection. After that, it gets more tricky. There are some comedies that come to mind like Smokey and the Bandit. In a pinch, I'd call Duel a chase movie.
