Voyeur Nation
Flip flops, voyeurs, and me. Funny how I came across this after just posting about Marilyn Monroe and today's version of the raised skirt, best expressed by Britney Spears but also well delivered by any hottie. What I like about this site is that, as it claims, it is "guilt-free voyeurism." Apparently, the girls are asked in advance for permission to be in a video. Some of the these videos capture quite a bit of apprehension from the subjects while others are more carefree and still others appear to be born to perform. The site is called I Do Nothing All Day which gives off a little stalker vibe without the fangs. It seems harmless enough. So, it promotes being a passive mediocre observer, which is what we all lean towards, right? I don't know what a more assertive version of this would be like that would work as well. Such a version would probably look more like a vapid fraternity misogyny fest. How best to objectify us women? Passive or Aggresive or Passive-Agressive, etc? I Do Nothing All Day may be on the right track. It has a certain style and look that shows us where we are today.
