Flip Flop Fetish
I think we're definitely in a time of Extreme Casualness. This is way beyond the Me Decade. We want to express ourselves as never before. We want to see and listen to other people's visions and thoughts as never before. We want to embrace the DIY spirit as never before. Where do we go from here? I think more exposed nipples would be interesting. But I wonder if that would be possible. There is only so far that the mainstream will go. Flip flops are seen as relatively safe. It's a fairly safe way to live dangerously.

love the blog! thanks for stopping by mine... :)
i adore flip flops, as you could tell from my post. i only wish i was back in the States where everyone loves them as much as i do... altho, you do see more and more ppl wearing them here but, in saying this, there's also this stigma attached to it in that a lot of arab women/girls don't wear them because they see it as lower class or something housemaids do.
i say, "you don't know what you're missing sweety!" ;)

That is very interesting about the issue of class. So, everyone is not aware that all the celebs wear them? There are so many different brands. If a brand did make an impression with Arab women, that would be something. Madison Avenue has a way of getting rid of stigmas.
